Jessica Alicia is the owner and head designer of Beija Flor Designs.

{“Beija Flor” means hummingbird and ‘to kiss a flower’ in Portuguese. pronounced: Bay-Jah Flor}

As a first generation SF native with roots tracing back to El Salvador and Brazil,

she takes her trials and tribulations and turns them into deep delicate works of floral art.

Jessica strives to design with care, using flowers as a medium to express her emotions, and yours.

In 2010, Jessica was introduced to the Floral & Plant Industry through a neighborhood intern program that matched her with a Floral Event Studio in the Dog Patch district in San Francisco. Since then she has kept gaining floral experience, from Freelancing and Designing at various well known flower shops and floral design studios, to working as an indoor plant tech throughout the Bay Area, until launching Beija Flor Designs online for delivery & events in 2016.

During the end of the crazy year that was 2020, Jessica and her partner, Jose, found the opportunity to open up their first brick&mortar flower location together. With heavy hearts after Jose’s passing in February of 2021 their families came together to keep blooming and flourishing together; Until the end of 2025 where we shifted our focus from a retail shop to a studio based floral company specializing in special events, styling and custom designs.

“At Beija Flor, We aspire to provide the world with quality, flavorful, and mood boosting floral designs we all deserve. with 15 years of experience and connections in the Floral Industry, we focus on detail, energy and texture to bring to life the most beautiful floral experiences of your dreams.”
